 After-Action Report:

Well, another year since the club doors shut has passed. Another get-together with friends and fans and cast-members to live the adventure for a few days has come and gone. I think I can say with some confifdence that everyone who attended had a good time. Based on the count of buttone we handed out, altogether there were just under 80 people between the various events. That included 5 cast-members, as well as all the "usual characters" who might as well be cast.

This year was a departure from the high-ticket events the last 2 have been. When Disney turned-down our money and told us they no longer wanted to do shows with the AC characters it was a real blow that nearly had us throwing in the towel since we'd already donw a lot of work and made some fairly big plans, but in typical adventurerous form we punted and went on ahead with what we could bring off. I don't know what the bar or Applebees made on Saturday, but I'm fairly sure the hotel ended up happy.

We're all pretty knackered, but in the next week there will be a pile of pictures and a follow-up survey. Next year will likely be pretty similiar, so hopefully the results will come back favorable. I think those in attendance actually liked the "order what you want" format on food, and the mixer format (with only a brief "panel"  - thank you Graham!) seemed popular as well. I can only speak for myself, but I'd be glad to do it again - though not before I catch up on sleep...

Kudos to all the cast & fans and my fellow staff who worked and made time to come out. Particular thanks to Ian and Victoria for going above and beyond by recreating the Quest for the Idol on our behalf, and for being inclusive of one and all who turned up for it, even if they were brand new to Adventuring! As goodwill ambassadors go, they couldn't have made a better showing! Great thanks also go to Rob & Mindy, who weren't officially tied with the event and still provided warmth, entertainment, and material assistance and expertise that made Saturday's celebration possible. Also to "Fingers" for playing along much later than she had agreed to. We loved and appreciated your contribution!

Please watch for updates to appear soon.

Tired-but-happy, your president,
